FEASIBILITY STUDIES

Matthews Construction Co., Inc. has extensive experience providing clients upfront "brick and mortar" information as multiple sites, facilities, and layouts are being considered by the selections team. Critical path decisions are being made at this stage of the project that will greatly affect the total cost of the project. The diverse construction market expertise of Matthews, combined with our "in-house" engineering staff provide clients the knowledge to make informed decisions on their project. To demonstrate our team philosophy, in most cases, our firm will provide this service complimentary to our clients.

PRECONSTRUCTION SERVICES

Upon selection of a specific site or facility, our preconstruction team of engineers can assist the owner's team in development of a "road map" for programming, design and construction of the project. Some of the services provided by us include the following:

Program development - Basically, we assist the owner's team in development of a layout (site and building) with special emphasis on cost and schedule impact.

Master budget development - Based on the program information, we can develop a project master budget for the project that would include all costs the owner can expect to incur on the project.

General estimating - Our firm retains a complete staff of estimators maintaining extensive regional relationships with subcontractors and materials suppliers. Utilizing state of the art systems such as Timberline and C.S.I. cost estimating systems, we are able to solicit, track, and develop a comprehensive estimate for any size project.

Scheduling - We utilize state of the art tools such as Primavera Sure Trak Project Manager and Microsoft Projects to schedule every project for our clients. Using historical information from similar projects, our time lines provide clients an accurate picture of critical information such as the need to "fast track" all or portions of a project.

CONSTRUCTION SERVICES

Matthews Construction prides itself on being known as a full service general contractor. We value our ability to self perform various portions of projects in an effort to meet the owner's goals of high quality and established schedule parameters. We are prepared to self-perform light excavation, foundations, slabs, tilt-up concrete, masonry, structural steel, pre-engineered building erection, rough and finish carpentry, and plumbing. The vast inventory of company owned equipment allows us early access at a much reduced project rental rate.

DESIGN BUILD SERVICES

Matthews Construction can handle all design from programming to working drawings and construction. Our design professionals work closely with our project management teams to ensure scope and budget are maintained. This process is especially conducive to the fast track construction requirements of many of our clients. We also employ level three building code consultants who perform an internal drawing review prior to city, county or state submission to avoid costly delays.
